Welcome!

This site is dedicated to William Young and Jane Johnston Black who met and married in Ireland, moved to England, joined the Mormon church, and migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois in the mid 1800's. From Nauvoo they crossed the plains and settled in Utah. William and Jane, along with their descendants, were prominent colonizers in the state of Utah. William Young Black's lineage can be traced back to ancestors in Scotland, England, Ireland, Germany, and Italy.
